Planning permission has been granted for the proposed Litter Cage and Temporary Transfer Station at the Distington Landfill Site in West Cumbria. The planning team at Stephenson Halliday Ltd worked closely with Cumbria Waste Management Ltd to develop an acceptable scheme. The facility will allow higher operating standards over the remaining life of the landfill and provide a temporary facility for waste transfer whilst a long term transfer facility is being developed. Stephenson Halliday Ltd is assisting CWM Ltd in its search for suitable sites for this facility.
