ACHANY WIND FARM

Scottish and Southern Energy have gained consent for a Wind Farm near Lairg in the Scottish Highlands. The 40MW wind farm will consist of 23 turbines up to 105m to blade tip on moorland west of Loch Shin.

We produced the Landscape and Visual Assessment for this project including advice and mitigation proposals to minimise the effect on the local area and a comprehensive Cumulative Assessment. We produced in house the full range of drawings, ZTV’s and wireframe/photomontage visualisations for both the E.S. document and for public exhibition. The application was submitted in October 2005 approved following a Public Inquiry in December 2007.
