Auchtermuchty Wind Farm

Stephenson Halliday is assisting EnergieKontor UK with the planning submission for the proposed Auchtermuchty Wind Farm in Fife.

The project site is around 1.5 km north east of the village of Auchtermuchty and comprises 5 turbines with a maximum height of 95 metres laid out in a shallow arc. Each turbine would have a rated capacity of 2megwatts giving a site generating capacity of 10 megawatts.

Stephenson Halliday were lead consultants in undertaking the Environmental Impact Assessment. The practise was involved in layout design, comprehensive landscape and visual assessment with supporting visualisations, assessment against planning policy and the overall coordination of the preparation of the Environmental Statement.

This project will be the subject of a Public Inquiry in January 2008. Stephenson Halliday will represent EnergieKontor in respect of issues related to Planning in addition to Landscape and Visual Amenity.
