PRIVATE GARDENS

Stephenson Halliday has undertaken the design of a series of gardens for various private clients. These generally form small, one-off commissions, with the scope of the work depending on individual requirements. The practice provides services from sketch design stage, through detailed design and construction drawings, to supervision of the construction and planting on site.

Design influences include the landscape context of the surroundings, ecological plantings, the microclimate of sheltered spaces and the need for peaceful, contemplative private spaces. The individual aspirations of clients and the level of management inputs available are considered closely at all stages of the design process.
