PROJECTS > MINERALS PLANNING

Our areas of expertise are in geological evaluation, planning, landscape and visual assessment and quarry design, assisted by computer aided design. Our computer aided design service is particularly adapted to the needs of the minerals industry with the capability to provide phased working plans, landform design, visibility analysis and accurate photomontage work.

The practice has considerable minerals planning experience from major quarry schemes requiring full Environmental Impact Assessment to small extensions requiring a pragmatic solution. We have an excellent track record of achieving planning permission for a range of mineral sites, often in difficult circumstances, for example within National Parks and other designated landscapes, for a variety of minerals. The practice made a presentation to the Institute of Quarries on Quarry Restoration and Planning.
