Burlington Slate & Cumbria TV

Following a successful Open Day in June to present the proposals to extend and progressively restore Kirkby Slate Quarry, Stephenson Halliday was recently involved in a second Open Day prior to the submission of the planning application for the scheme. The purpose of this event was to provide an update to the public and consultees on the progress of the proposals and the supporting Environmental Impact Assessment, and to give the opportunity for further queries and concerns to be addressed.

As part of the Open Day our client, Burlington Slate, commissioned Cumbria TV to produce a video explaining the proposals.  Given the complex nature of the scheme, our Principal Landscape Architect David Forsythe was on hand to guide Cumbria TV through the proposed works to ensure that the video provided a clear and informative overview of the proposals at the quarry.

Gary Robinson, Director of Cumbria TV said:

“Fantastically efficient and uncomplicated despite our project being very technical, I found working with Stephenson Halliday a breeze.

Our main contact David Forsythe was a pleasure to work with and all Stephenson Halliday staff handled the tight deadlines and the need for meticulous detail with professionalism and in a friendly manner that stayed with us long after the project was complete.”

No doubt the video will be a useful tool for future consultation following the submission of the planning application later this year.
