Stephenson Halliday host Lib Dem President who emphasises the need to support local businesses.

Liberal Democrat President and MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale, Tim Farron, today reiterated the importance of the success of all sizes of local businesses in securing a healthy local economy.

Confidence is returning to the economy and Stephenson Halliday firmly believes that now is the right time to invest for the future.

In addition to working on £multimillion projects throughout the UK, the Company works locally in Cumbria to support local businesses to overcome planning hurdles standing in the way of their future growth. The visit by Tim Farron marked the launch of our new website and a renewed focus on supporting other local enterprises. During his visit the Lib Dem President recognised the difficulties some businesses face in dealing with the planning system and so welcomed the assistance that Stephenson Halliday Ltd could afford to all businesses in the area in addressing such issues. Mary Campbell our Planning Director said:
