Solar Farm, Flintshire

Details & Location

Solar farm design innovation & battery storage drives value from closed landfill

Our constraints led design approach has supported the development of a solution that has allowed this solar site with battery storage to be developed on a former landfill site where ground contamination risks (and potential remediation costs) were high.

This allowed these risks to be identified and effectively managed to facilitate success for a financially viable project. Stephenson Halliday completed necessary landscape and visual assessments, co-ordinated other environmental and traffic appraisals, co-ordinated and attended the public consultation events and have completed the Planning Statement.

We continue to support our client through the planning determination process whilst applying the same successful approach to other sites on their behalf.
