Rural Development & Tourism

Our combined rural planning and landscape skills help to secure planning consents and provide landscape designs for projects in sensitive locations whether smaller scale farm diversification or high end hotel and leisure projects. Our support for such rural development and diversification projects is as diverse as their individual settings. It encompasses securing certificates of lawfulness, building conversions and changes of use, new built development for residential, farming and other commercial uses. We also secure permissions for farm based camping / glamping pod proposals through to larger scale destination tourism based developments including high end hotel and leisure complexes.

Our work in the tourism and leisure sector comprises shape the design of proposals through to securing necessary consents and approvals. We support small rural diversification projects helping secure the future of small businesses as well as new tourism focussed uses for unused assets by changing use to accommodation or for new leisure ventures. We can assist with site design and layout and securing permissions for new visitor and leisure ventures whether based on providing camping facilities or destination tourism activities. We also operate at the high end of the market and have successfully advised on high profile luxury hotel development proposals.

The following projects provide a snapshot overview of the range of projects we have worked on but cannot cover every example.
