EIA and Constraint led project design

For projects requiring the completion of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) we co-ordinate project design activity as an integral part of our EIA and Project Management services ensuring that relevant specialists focus on the key issues. We provide insight on how to undertake an iterative design process to respond to potential constraints thereby minimising consent risks. This in turn can reduce programmes and bring added value project outcomes.

Our approach is to ensure there is clarity at the outset about the potential environmental risks and their policy importance. Through the identification of necessary strategies and design guidance within a structured programme of investigations, we allow effective decision making to shape the final design of the project and any necessary mitigation. Done well this approach can also help to lower overall costs by focusing on the most important design influences first and thereby potentially allowing a reduced scope and cost savings for other investigations. Whatever the final design outcome we drive the compilation of robust and focussed assessment documents responding to the required scope of assessment.

The following projects provide a snapshot overview of the range of projects we have worked on but cannot cover every example.
